Battle of Madarpur is a battle fought between small army of Zamindar Bhuinhar Brahmins (Bhumihar Brahmins of kanyakubj origin) of Madarpur and a big organised army of Mugal ruler babur in calendar year 1528 and vikram samvat 1584 at Madarpur a place in Kanpur district of Uttar-Pradesh Bharat. Nearest Railway station is Bilhaur station to visit the Madarpur bordered with Farrukhabad district . bhriguvanshi gautam kaushik shandilya kaashayap etc. gotra's Bhumihar Brahmins organized themselves and fought with bravery but they fail to defeat large Mugal army. after massacre of Bhumihar Brahmins at Madarpur historically in kannauj region they came and settle in Gazipur, Banaras,Begusarai and from their they coverup other places in Uttar Pradesh & Bihar.
